there was a kart in my village outside the co-op the other day----i cant be sure but i think it was my 1st wife that was in attendance. been years since ive seen her.

i think most people who do give it a glance just think its yet another bunch of nutters. they could be right.

Slow motion pioneers

observing our local unemployed pioneers and how long they take to get to their first or next call, usually taking the longest route to get to one they know won't be there anyway.

along the way it's gossipy this and that.

i was a 100 hours a month pio in the UK in the late 60's--from age 18 to 21. my time included lunch breaks--travelling from a first call--even if no-one home--to the group meet up. visiting the elderly in the cong--doing odd jobs for them----and the sick. lighting the coal burning boiler at the KH in the winter.

all a total waste of time. just a social thing really--there were quite a few of us. i never bought anyone into the cult. quit at 23.

the international bible students association has issued an urgent product recall for the october 2015 public edition of the watchtower magazine in the uk.

several copies of the magazine were found to contain demons, having been infected after a worker at the british branch office attended a yoga class.

the worker has now been disfellowshipped, but the ibsa reports that contaminated magazines had already been shipped to congregations across the uk.branch office spokesman andrew morris ivx said: "this product recall affects the printed public edition of the october 2015 watchtower only.

What are you up to this summer?

i really enjoy hearing about other people's lives.

feeling a little lonely this evening so please tell me if you have plans for the summer months.

i may go to some outdoor theatre with my daughter who's home from uni; with a picnic and a bottle of wine.

i'm planning a long trip to the philippines--to spend a few weeks with my lady. not seen her for 18 months now--long distance relationships suck.

only problem is--i really dont like flying !

JWism retaking control of wife's family

a situation regarding this religion has developed which i fear might have negative implications on me and wifes lives, and i'm looking for thoughts and advice in how to approach the situation.

i'll start with some background information to enlighten the situation.. i'm a male in mid-twenties, raised secularly, married to an ex-jw woman (on paper still a jw though), who's been raised in the jw religion, although somewhat untheocratically shall i say.

for instance her mother has 5 children with 3 different men, all non-jws, and has had many other relationships as well.

i wouldnt worry about it. i'm sure the congregation will be overjoyed to have that family back in the fold.

for about 1 week i would think.

cut back on everything. when the loving attention starts--just tell the individual----never more than one at a time-----that youre very stressed with money worries--and ask them for a loan to help you out. chances are they will leave you alone--or you might end up better off.

Need help on Resurrection

i hope all is well.

recently my uncle ( my mom's brother ) passed away, he was never a jw but evangelical christian all of his life, never accepting my moms teaching.

so my mom in facebook keeps on making references to other family members when her brother comes back in the resurrection and live in the paradise ...i thought that worldly people who is not jw will not going to be resurrected .... what is the current teaching on resurrection for nonjws?...

Where are the Young Elders?

i was appointed as an elder when i turned 30, 25 years ago.

which was the norm back then.. now, i very rarely here of a young man becoming an elder.

in our town we have 2 english congregations.

i remember 40 ++ years ago--when all this elders crap first started. i had reached a point--in my early 20's---when i wanted out of religion.

so i went to the congregation servant ( yes--thats what he was called back then--)-----he was a former bethel boy and district servant or some such.

told him i was resigning from the religion--and my reasons why. he said he was glad i told him--as he was about to put me forward as one of the elders !! so much for the holy spirit -----what a load of rubbish. i was no more elder material than an astronaut.
